Japanese Sword Handle Ornaments (menuki) of Lion Dogs
These are antique Japanese sword handle ornaments (menuki) dating from the Azuchi-Momoyama Period circa the late 16th to early 17th Centuries. The design is of two Lion Dogs playing. The handle ornaments are unsigned. The of the ornaments measures 3.0 cm (1.2 inches) long. The overall condition of the antique ornament is very good. The dark patches is black lacquer that was applied to the handle that the ornaments were once mounted on. The wooden storage box is included in the sale unless the menuki are going to mounted on a Japanese sword.

Returns are accepted during a three-day inspection period starting upon acceptance of the item with a 10% restocking fee of the original purchase price. Items wanting to be returned after this three-day inspection period can be purchased back at a discounted price at the discretion of the management of Rain Dragon Art and Antiques, LLC.
