Ink Wash Painting of Chokaro Sennin
This is an antique Meiji Period late 19th Century ink wash painting (sumi-e) of Chokaro Sennin a legendary character from Chinese folklore sometimes pictured in Japanese art.
Two stamps on the lower right corner of the painting was made by artist. I have not been able to identify which artist used these two marks. The painting itself measures 29.2 cm (11.5 inches) wide by 24.1 cm (9.5 inches) high. The frame measures 47.5 cm (18.7 inches) wide by 41.9 cm (16.5 inches) high. There is some minor cosmetic damage on the vintage frame.
