Antique Coin Set
This is a set of three antique bronze or brass coins from Japan. Because they were made of a copper-based alloy and not iron they likely date from about 1626 to 1737 CE when coins made of copper alloys were in circulation. The inscription on the front side reads '寛永通寳 (Kan'ei Tsūhō)'. Each coin is of the four-mon denomination.
The antique coins are made of a copper-based alloy and are in very good condition with all the detail being clear on both sides and age appropriate patina. Each coin measures 2.7 cm (1.0 inches) wide.
